Broke A$$ Paleo


Broke-A$$ Paleo August Challenge

Fact: A SMALL jar of almonds is $8. A BIG pack of crackers is $3.  This sucks.

Goal: I’d like to establish a collection of paleo recipes and prove that I can feed a family cheaply without cooking a casserole filled with potatoes, rice, or pasta. I’d also like to be able to feed a family of four on $400/month. That’s roughly $13.33/day. I understand you get what you pay for, and what you spend on nutritious food now, you save in medical bills later. But there’s gotta be a way to cut costs.

Challenge: I'd love to learn more ways to prepare 7 days of meals on Sunday and even freeze in batches to take advantage of Sam's Club pricing. I want to learn which are the most common cuts of meat and the cost of bulk items that freeze well and those that don’t, that sort of thing. So here is the challenge:
Email me a daily meal plan or recipe for around $13/day or less. I’ll post it here for all of    us to see. On one site we will have recipes, meal plans, links to budget friendly paleo ideas from other like-minded broke-ass crossfitters for each day of the month of August.
